A person's home tells a lot about his character. Well, it makes sense as the design of your home is largely determined by your lifestyle, which is very much influenced by your personality. Since extroverts and introverts are at the opposite ends of the continuum, it is no surprise that their homes will also be entirely different!

Unlike extroverts who love being around people, introverts tend to have minimal contact with other people. This is why home is a very special place to introverts - it is where they can spend time alone and "recharge". So, how will the home a of an introvert look like?

1. Smaller seating areas

Introverts usually prefer having intimate conversations between a few close friends over socialising among a big group of people. Hence, you’ll probably see smaller seating areas at their homes - perfect for heart-to-heart talks over some afternoon tea.

2. "Refuge" spot

Every introvert will have their favourite "refuge" spot at home - a specific room or corner they go to when they need a break. The place might differ for every introvert, but they share a common purpose. Depending on the individual introvert, their "refugee" spot will be filled with whatever makes them feel comfortable and peaceful.

3. Unobstructed windows

Introverts do not enjoy the feeling of being trapped. Hence, they almost always have big open windows to let fresh air and bright light in - though they may choose to cover them with drapes as introverts value their privacy.

4. Well-planned & organised interior

Very often, introverts are also planners and organisers. That means they can get a little “OCD” about their homes! They typically have a clear idea of what each room does and what was the style they were going for before they start furnishing their homes. If you asked, they would even be able to tell you where they got each furniture and why!

5. Little things

Introverts love filling their homes with little extras or thoughtful vignettes that most of the time, only they will notice. But that’s okay, because these things makes them really happy!

6. A home office

If you are an introvert yourself, you will understand that it’s almost impossible for introverts to work in a busy environment. This is why they generally have a separate office space - an entire room, or simply a corner of a room, dedicated for work.

7. Quiet Hobbies

Instead of partying and socialising, many introverts may prefer quieter hobbies such as, reading or taking care of plants. Not only books and plants are much easier to deal with than human interactions, they also make great home decors!
