Out of all the spaces, the kitchen was the one we had the clearest idea of what we wanted when designing the house: 1. Open concept kitchen with an island 2. Dark, sleek and modern kitchen. For the sleek and modern look, we used induction stove and flushed the washing machine with the cupboards.

For all those asking, we don't get fumes on our drying laundry because we have a hood that sucks up all the smoke! We also don't do heavy cooking which helps.

This island has 4 large drawers where we use it to store our cookware, tableware, the hotpot + grill equipment, and some random items from our wedding and initial moving in that we haven't cleared out yet.
A more zoomed out view to show our beloved island! We have three bar stools that complement it very well but it's only well-used by our guests, not us... Beside the stools, we also store the pantry roller shelf because it fits perfectly into the niche in the island meant for the bar stools! Fun fact - the lights on top of the island are wholly cement! Super cool. They came without the bulbs but that was easily solvable with a quick search on carousell.
