Welcome to our main living room! This space really feels very safe and comfortable to us and we spend most of our time here when we are at home. After a long day at work, we love winding down and having dinner here while watching our favourite TV shows. On weekends-in, we have our little fun date nights here too, having small in-door picnics! We feel it is important to have a safe space in the house to destress and unwind at the end of a long day!
We got the Samsung Serif TV mainly because of its aesthetics and since it is not wall-mounted, it offers us the optionality to move it around the house. Plus Samsung gave us a free Sound Bar! If you have noticed, the flooring of our house is cement screed (without epoxy) which we love because of the aesthetics and how the material retains coldness from the aircon and weather. The only drawback is that it may crack if not done properly and it is very porous so it might absorb any liquid easily. But we feel that this adds character to our house and each stain on the floor has a special memory attached to it.
We feel that this resale unit is a rare find nowadays because of its big open space which allowed us to create this space. It incorporates both our living and dining area to host larger groups of family and friends which we love doing! Most of the things in our house living room are thrifted and we enjoy giving pre-loved items a second home. #Onemanstrashisanothermanstreasure
As you guys know, we love thrifting and these next two posts showcase some of our best thrifting finds so far. This recliner was thrifted from Hock Siong & Co, which we highly recommend to anyone loves thrifting. We got this from a very reasonable price and it is so comfortable, everyone loves to laze on it when they come over!
This book case is originally from Urban Outfitters which we were lucky to get off a Carousell seller for a very reasonable price. It did take us awhile to find but our patience paid off as we got it in a set with another shelf that we have set up in our second living room.
This is our second living room! If you look at the corner of the photo, next to the guitar, you can see the second smaller Urban Outfitter shelf that we use to keep our board games. We also host board game nights on weekends with friends in this space! and something we will just sit here and jam out to good Music on Sunday mornings! Okay, our friends are here to play boardgames now, bye!
