  • よ! Welcome to hitotema.home. We were looking into showing you some warm, cosy corners of our home, when we realised that the expert of finding comfy spots was standing right there. That's Miso, by the way. She might be holding on to the only 2 brain cells she owns most of the time, but when it comes to choosing super comfy spots to plop herself on, she's got a gift. Hitotema.home is a Modern Japanese (not japandi) cozy 3 room BTO, designed to bring traditional elements of Japanese houses into the modern era.
  • Honestly, the living room's one of our favourite hangout spots. The warm wood and minimal space leaves things so peaceful and calm just to chill. There's a projector and a screen, there's a hidden dining table, a ledge to hang our feet from, or just lots of space to lie down and make snow angels if you want, sans the snow.
  • Miso has her own corner to chill too. Yet, she's not limited to this corner. The whole living room is a nice open space for her to run about and sit anywhere. Anyway, Miso rates her daybed 10/10.
  • When the table's lifted, it's a nice place to read, snack, or just do some casual work with no distractions about... apart from Miso who becomes quite the queen if you're eating something that she wants.
  • We love the table and how it can be concealed to enlarge the space of the living room. However, as a comfy spot, Miso rates it 2/10. Can't see or steal the food from under the table.
  • This is a good spot. It's a little breakfast bar on a cantilevered table. Looking ahead, you get a view into the kitchen, and to the right would be the living room. Miso does like chilling under the chairs. It's like a roof over her head, I guess. 8/10 rated, if there were more food crumbs on the floor the rating might have been higher I imagine.
  • Moving on to the walk-in wardrobe area before the bedroom, we initially carved out a spot to possibly put some decor piece in that space. Before we could do that, Miso decided to manifest herself as a decoration, so now that spot's hers, i guess. 7/10, needs a automatic treat dispenser and a mini fridge for pet milk.
  • Not much to say here, a bedroom is definitely super cosy. Our second favourite cosy spot in the whole house. Aha. If you haven't read our post on the bedroom, check it out on our profile.
  • The bedroom is designed to also be minimal, because well, when rest is concerned, you should take it seriously right? Just a bed, nothing more. A calm, warm and inviting space to recharge.
  • Btw, thanks to Hipvan for sending this lovely cushion to us for being a part of their Ambassador Programme. We'd like to say it's super comfy, but we wouldn't know because it's become Miso's now. It's at the foot of the bed so she can supervise us while we work in the study room next to. Safe to say if Miso claims it, it's gotta be comfortable. 9/10, supervising is tough work for a dog. If you're wondering how hitotema.home's spaces are organised, check out our study room post from our profile.
  • Otherwise, apparently my chair is pretty comfy too. Not sure why. 5/10, not enough chances to sit here.
  • That's a wrap for the cosy corners of our home! Stay tuned, we might be back in another Season for Hipvan! Meanwhile, follow us on instagram @hitotema.home, and check out our other posts in our profile to get a better idea of our space!
