  • New additions to the display cabinet in the room - still a wip and always in one, but managed to more colours to the room! Before I started my room revamp, I did a simple exercise to design my room mood board and I thought to share it.
  • 1. List down a list of your current problems in your current home or daily life Try walking through a super realistic day in your current home and list everything you hate and wish you could change. For example, Is the kitchen table too high for you? Is there enough sunlight entering your room? There are many small pain points we may not notice but could be improved if you take a closer look!
  • 2. Map the problems to each area of your house and create mini-mood boards for each area Add pictures into your moodboards, and note down what you like that you can take inspiration from. Meanwhile, do take note if they tick off your major pain points.
  • 3. Create mini-wishlists for each mini-mood board This way you can track to see if you are on track to meeting your mood board vibe while keeping in track with your most hated issues.
  • Try out this exercise and let me know if it works for you. You can do it on iPad or with post-its, but I used figjam, a free collaborative whiteboard app to do it.
