Designing this space took a few iterations as I wanted to visualise how I would feel returning from a long day at work. I chose a combination of artwork, plants (albeit a fake lego one), and some artwork to create the feeling of joy and vibrancy.
Due to the squarish layout of my home, the entryway is integrated with my living room and also my dining, so it was important to have a cohesive look between all 3 spaces and thus the colours would run throughout the home, continuing this eclectic blend of colours that would be tied together with the warm wood tones, and the subtle greys and whites in the paints, blinds and chrome finishings.

I utilised the space behind the door to make it my bicycle garage and figured it would maximise the space. Thankfully it was a good fit and it is neatly tucked away.
Ikea's custom Platsa range was a really good edition to this part of the entryway due to the level of customisation available - you can choose how tall or wide you want it to be, how many drawers required etc. I love this shade of blue, very close to the Majorel blue that I really love, and it goes well with the pine laminate.

The stool serves as place to sit and put on my shoes. The carpet adds a touch of softness to the space and serves as a focal point to the two entrances to the master and my home studio.

A space to keep my shoes neat and tidy, and also trap all the dirt from the outdoors.
This is wear I keep my sports wearables like my trusy Garmin for runs, and my miscellaneous bicycle wallet, sunglasses and lights that go on my bike when I'm riding.

The bicycle fits neatly behind the door, almost like it's playing hide and seek. I also love how the half height mild steel door allows for ample light to spill into the home.
I came cross this blue steel mini bedside table and fell in love with it, and it was a perfect match to place it beside the Platsa cupboard which had the same blue frame. It made the look more cohesive.
