  • Hello! Welcome to DillyDally.home. This is our first post and we be showing your around the spaces and corners of our home! Our home is a four room HDB BTO which measures about 1000sqft and the layout is somehow a little bit unique from the usual ones. For our estate, we do have 1 room that is situated away from the 2 other rooms, making the living room a central zone for all activities. For our living room, our design idea was to have the feel of openness yet providing a good space for our dining activities. With this concept in mind, we played around the space and decided to have a nice table right by the bay.
  • Passing by the living room, you will reach our dining space. At the dining space, we wanted an ever-changing space that provides vibrancy and aesthetic, as such we created a fully painted arch that allows us to change the decorations through the seasons. With the dining table stacked right at the bay, we knew we have to fit in a settee to not just create a cozy space to laze around, but also provides additional storage space to store all our "less-used" items such as games, exercise mats and etc.
  • At the living room zone, you will see a merging of spaces with our open concept kitchen through the thoughtful use of tiles and brass strip. Without these physical walls, the openness often gives our guests a false impression of a space bigger than 4 rooms.
  • Walking into the kitchen, you will find yourselves surrounded by 3 colours, green, beige and wood. The tone of these colours were specially selected after going through many rounds of comparing at site and at different light conditions! A kitchen that we truly satisfied with.
  • Right beside the main kitchen space, you will reach our service yard. Like all BTO in modern times, all kitchens are designed to be small and claustrophobic, as such we hacked off the walls and windows to expand out the space and reduce the visual barrier.
  • When you need to take a short break after walking through halfway of the hometour, you can visit our common toilet. The design takes inspiration from the beautiful home in Australia, with mix of wood finishes, pink hues, brass and whites.
  • Right beside the common toilet is our study and workspace. In designing this space, we wanted a vibe that is light and vibrant, removing all unwanted possible bad moments that you can have at work. To do that, we throw in a corner arch painted in warm yellow colours to brighten up the room and hopefully our mood as well!
  • After this long home tour, you must be tired and what you need is a nap right away. Heading towards our bedroom, you will be met with a black-coloured door with an arch reeded glass. And inviting you is our floor tile mat that changes with the seasons and mood of the house!
  • Right at the entrance of the master bedroom, you will see our MBR toilet installed with large terrazzo tiles on the floor and pink hue subway tiles at the foreground of the wall. Designed with a little adventurous in the colour choices, yet safe enough to blend in with the rest of the home.
  • Yes. Finally. You have reached the last part of our home tour. The Master bedroom, the place where dreams are created. For ours, we designed a head board that not only acts as a backrest but also as a design piece that adds character to the whole space. With that, you have reached the end of our home tour! Hope you enjoy it and able to find some inspirations from it! Do stay tune at this space and follow our Instagram for more updates! :)
