  • Hello and welcome to our final post of this season! We are going to share with you guys some home aesthetic items which give our place so much more character and add personal touches to otherwise just another condo unit. Let‘s jump right into it! :) Apart from our statement 2m long suarwood dining table from The Table Guy, we made sure we fill this wooden bookshelves up with aesthetic and functional items we love. The devil is always in the details as they said. 😅
  • Starting with items on our bookshelves, we have a number of decorative aesthetic items such as our Marshall Stanmore III speaker and this cute mushroom-looking table lamp which we got from Ikea. To add a little layering, we placed books horizontally below the table lamp to create a hi-low effect. Disclaimer - we are not experts at book shelves decorations and we mostly do trials and errors until the outcome looks pleasing 😍 That’s the fun isn’t it!
  • Mrs is a Lego fan and these are pieces purchased when she was working in UK few years back. The small Lego characters are stores’ exclusive in Paris (the French man with a baguette) and London (red royal guard). The Lego minicooper, already a retired model, Is one of her favourite Lego sets, and look at how the mini die-cast minicooper compare in size when placed side by side. ☺️ In the background, it is a photo and including the frame gifted by our Thai photographer.
  • We also got this modern electric black clock from a Korean brand on Shopee, and placed on top of books and magazines as well. To balance the modern vibe, we placed a wooden vase with dried roses (from a bouquet gifted by our relatives) beside it. No product tag for the vase as it is a piece we got from Bangkok Chatukchat market.. Love how the back clock stood out in the midst of the woody textured decorations. Plus point for the extra large font size.
  • This is another art piece we got from Bangkok. We love how relaxing and calming this sunrise / sunset illustration is, and if you look closer, it also features 2 persons enjoying this gorgeous scenery. ✌🏼 Mrs is also a fan of scents so there are candles, room mist, diffusers and aroma sachets all over the home. Featuring one of her favourite scents from Bath and Body Works - Mahogany Teakwood Intense 3-wick candle.
  • Books are a huge part of our book shelves and apart from choosing the books we love to read to increase our intelligence level 😂, Mrs also likes to pick up books which are aesthetically pleasing or cute. For instance: * The Journal - a free magazine when we visited one of the furniture stores * Manifest - bought this book at Times Singapore 🇸🇬 bookstore warehouse sale * Let’s make bread - purchased at an independent book shop in Perth, Australia 🇦🇺 * Bangkok Shophouses - got it in Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭 bookshop
  • A closeup of our bookshelves and how we arrange the books - generally by colors. We place books which we are reading at the lower shelves for ease of retrieval. Current book we are reading and loving is the 12 week year by Brian P. Moran and Michael Lennington. If you also like to read self-help books, we cannot recommend enough this book. ❤️
  • We got this terrazzo book stopper from Hooga (we have 2 sets, I.e. 4 pcs) and we love how effortless and chic they are. This vintage Esso signage is sourced from Bangkok Chatukchat market and we love how it adds that rustic vibes to our living / dining room.
  • Moving to the entrance, we have 2 canvas prints which are our prewed photos taken in Bangkok. We love our casual, street style prewed photos and getting them taken there was one of the best decisions made. We then sent them for printing into canvas frame in Bangkok too (so much cheaper than printing in Singapore). These 2 canvas photos are the key highlights in our entryway, serving as prized possessions for our home art gallery. 😍
  • Talking about aesthetic pieces, we can’t miss out this Bangkok map illustration print. It is casually hanging on our switch against the limewash wall, creating a sense of artsy and effortless studio vibes.
  • Moving to the kitchenwares, these are some of our cups, mugs, coasters and tea pot (recent new addition gifted by our dear friends). We collect these different beverage vessels from different places when we travel and we love how they are a reflection of some of our best core memories. For instance, the ceramic and stainless steel coffee filters are purchased in Ho Chi Minh City when we last visited in Dec’23. The vintage looking yellow crystal cup is a gem sourced from a Perth vintage shop. The tea pot is a housewarming gift from Mrs’ secondary school BFF. Coasters, milk jugs, and double walled glass cups are from Bangkok, whilst the remaining cups are from Ikea.
  • The next category is our dining wares - mostly white ceramic bowls and plates we got them from Bangkok. These aesthetic vessels definitely make meal time more exciting and appetising 😋 We frequent this shop in Bangkok to get our dining wares and honestly they are a steal. Folks who are interested to know where the shop is, feel free to comment on our post below. :)
  • Another item which we consider as aesthetically pleasing is our Le Creuset French oven. How gorgeous is this pale grey colour and how well it matches our theme! We permanently left this pot on the stove given how pretty it is. 😍
  • Last but not least, we need to mention this cute little portable lamp from Ikea which served as our side table light in our master bedroom. Its portability made it super convenient to move the light around. The lamp shade can be tilted so it looked like a full globe on one end. Go check out the Ikea website for more photos if you are keen! That’s all for our final post this season! We hope you have enjoyed our sharings thus far, and do follow us on IG @tanhoms for more home contents ☺️
