  • Based on practicality and functionality, here are some of what we think are the best home investments for your home. As we are both a little bit of a clean freak, our items focus on keeping things clean and neat! As we have quite a long kitchen due to our home layout, the 4.5m long countertop could accommodate a larger sink which we always wanted. After watching a reel on IG, we decided to find our ideal sink on Taobao. πŸ”
  • We love how we can wash veggies and clean kitchenware more efficiently with this sink! It comes with a detachable chopping block, draining basket and basin, so we can wash, drain and cut our ingredients all in the sink, which reduces mess in the kitchen. 😌 The only downside of this sink is the faucet knob which takes some effort to turn when you have oily or soapy hands. We have to wash the knob every time after cleaning which is a bit of a hassle but we've gotten used to it already so all's good! πŸ‘πŸΌ
  • Initially N wasn’t keen to install an instant water dispenser as both of us are used to boiling water from a kettle as and when needed. But we decided to check out a few different brands in the market while our renovation was happening so that we could make an informed decision. In the end, we took the plunge and realised how convenient and time-saving it can be! πŸ™‰ Now we don't have to wait for water to boil and don’t need different jugs to fill water of different temperatures. The design of the Sterra S water dispenser is pretty sleek which we think fits into our kitchen aesthetic and a self cleaning function that we love (this design is already discontinued, they are selling another version now). πŸ’―no regrets!
  • Thanks to the indoor drying system from Steigen, we no longer worry about rainy days ruining our freshly washed clothes!Β Their Sol Ion feature also gives us peace of mind, knowing that our clothing will smell fresh and be rid of dust mites (which nearly everywhere in SG). πŸ‘•πŸ‘š We also liked that we could change the colour tone of the lighting depending on our mood. There are 3 tones; yellow, warm white and white. We use the warm white tone the most as it's easy on the eyes and feels more cosy. Definitely a must-have when you're moving to a new home! βœ…
  • One of the things that surprised us when we went for our house viewing was that the previous homeowner installed a ventilator in the toilet. We initially didn't plan for it but it made sense to us that we needed some ventilation in the toilet as it is always going to be wet and moist, which can cause bacteria to form and make us sick. We have seen really mouldy toilet walls and ceilings and that is the last thing we want in our toilet. πŸ™…πŸ» πŸ™…πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  • We installed one and thankfully we did! After staying in our new home for more than a year, we didn't see any mould growing (touchwood). We think that keeping the toilet dry and well ventilated is essential, so don't scrimp on this! πŸ’‘
