  • Welcome to our bathroom tour! We have 2 differently-styled bathrooms, and today I’ll go into how we made it work in our home! I’m sure in your home styling journey, you will come across many styles and may like more than one. We’re no different - we liked the modern mediterranean look but we also were in love with the mid century modern look. We made it work by styling our common bathroom with a similar colour as our kitchen - by using burnt orange tiles. However, the shape of the feature tile in our bathroom (small rectangles) matches the shape of the feature tiles in our master bathroom.
  • This is our kitchen - our common bathroom comes right after our kitchen so the styling is consistent and flows well!
  • This is our master bathroom. Doesn’t it look very different from our common bathroom? We minimised the suddenness of this modern style by matching the cool tones of this bathroom with our master bedroom.
  • As you can see, we used grey as a common colour across the two areas, and the blue wall with dark grey curtains create a cool, dark vibes to the room, matching our dark green and grey master bathroom. At the same time, the dark blue is not entirely out of place, as our kitchen utilises orange-blue feature tiles as well, as our backsplash. Check out my kitchen tour post if you are interested!
  • Last but not least, we also used similarly coloured bathroom accessories across the 2 bathrooms - matt black. I hope this post gives you some ideas to achieve some degree of cohesiveness to 2 differently styled spaces. To us, the key is to make sure the areas make sense / tie in with their surrounding areas (how we styled our common bathroom + kitchen as a whole, and master bathroom with master bedroom as a whole), and to maximise as many elements between the 2 areas without compromising the style you want (black bathroom accessories). It’s ok to want two different styles in your home - don’t be afraid to aim for the best of both worlds!
