  • Welcome to our master room! We initially didn’t plan for a vanity area since we have a lot of clothes (ironically, it’s my husband who has the most) and wanted to maximise the space for our wardrobe. However, we felt that a full-height L-shaped wardrobe would make the room feel less open and uninviting as we walked towards it. Hence, we decided to carve out a vanity area in our wardrobe to achieve a better balance of carpentry and space.
  • The vanity space is conveniently located right outside the toilet, allowing for easy access and an efficient workflow as we get ready. We decided to have a standing vanity instead of a seated area because we needed more space for our clothes.
  • There’s an LED strip in the vanity area to illuminate the space while we get ready. Additionally, there are conveniently placed power sockets for our hairdryer and other appliances. Do take note to account for some space allowance below the sockets for the plugs!
  • Beyond the mirror, there is storage space for our personal care products. We initially planned for an access hole for the wires so that we could easily store our hairdryer inside this mirror storage cabinet without unplugging it from the power socket. Unfortunately, our carpenter forgot to include it. Otherwise, it would have added extra convenience. Our vanity area and wardrobe are still work in progress as we are still going through some carpentry rectifications. Stay tuned as we share more on our wardrobe and vanity storage organisation in the future, including whether we can squeeze all our clothes (90% of which belong to my husband) into the wardrobe!
