  • Cooking is an adventure and this is my launchpad! Cooking has always been an adventure for me. From testing new recipes to creating spontaneous dishes with ingredients obtained from 'fridge clearing quests', my kitchen plays a vital role as the hub of all that creativity. For an experimental cook like me, a kitchen must be more than just aesthetically pleasing—it has to be incredibly functional, adaptable, and well-equipped to handle the chaos that comes with trying new recipes.
  • As much as I adore the look and feel of an open kitchen, I decided against it for practical reasons. While the airy, seamless flow between kitchen and living space is undeniably appealing, an open kitchen comes with its challenges. The biggest pain points for me are noise and smell. When I’m experimenting with new recipes, the sound of clattering pots, the whirring of appliances, and strong cooking aromas can easily invade other parts of the house. Plus, with my love for gadgets and occasional cooking chaos, I prefer a closed-off space where I can focus and keep the mess contained.
  • A Functional Space for Creativity My kitchen is designed with one key goal in mind: functionality. While I adore sleek designs and tidy countertops, I also need a space where I can freely experiment without worrying about clutter. The counters are intentionally kept free of too many gadgets, thanks to smart storage solutions that let me tuck everything away when it’s not in use. This allows me to have plenty of workspace for prepping, chopping, and assembling dishes without feeling cramped.
  • Organized Chaos: Making Space for Innovation A clutter-free countertop is crucial, especially when I’m diving into an ambitious recipe. My kitchen is equipped with deep drawers and custom cabinets to store bulky appliances like my stand mixer, slow cooker, and waffle iron, keeping them hidden yet close at hand. I’ve also added open shelving in strategic areas for things I use regularly, like oils, spices, and everyday cookware. It’s a balance of convenience and keeping things tidy.
  • My Love Affair with Kitchen Gadgets If there’s one thing I can never get enough of, it’s kitchen gadgets. From my air fryer and blender to the sous vide machine and pasta maker, I’ve amassed quite the collection over the years. However, with so many gadgets comes the challenge of keeping the kitchen organized. This is why storage space is essential. Drawer dividers, pull-out cabinets, and vertical storage allow me to keep all my beloved gadgets neatly stored but easily accessible whenever inspiration strikes.
  • Where Form Meets Function I’ve chosen appliances that blend seamlessly into the design of the kitchen without sacrificing their power or utility. A sleek stovetop and a spacious oven are the beating heart of the space, carefully selected to suit both my cooking style and the aesthetic of the house. Though induction stoves are popular for their sleek look and energy efficiency, I opted for a traditional stovetop. I love the ‘wok-hey’ effect that comes from cooking over an open flame, which an induction stove simply can’t replicate. Ax feels it’s not true cooking unless there’s fire involved. The tactile experience and control of flame-cooked meals are essential to us. To complement the overall theme of the house, I went with black appliances and gadgets. The matte finish on the refrigerator, stove, and other key appliances aligns perfectly with the sleek, modern look of the space, tying everything together with a sense of cohesion and style
  • On my countertop, everything has its place, keeping the space both functional and organized. My sleek collection of knives is stored neatly within a modern Toolhead block, offering easy access while adding a minimalist touch to the kitchen. Beside it is the Modori cutting board set, a compact and stylish solution for prepping ingredients. The boards, with their slim design and neutral tones, fit perfectly with the overall aesthetic of my kitchen while ensuring I have the right tool at hand for any cooking task.
  • For my dishwashing area, I opted for a Monic black steel single-bowl kitchen sink. The sleek black finish not only complements the overall aesthetic of the kitchen but also provides ample space for cleaning even my larger pots and pans without feeling cramped. To make washing up more efficient, I paired the sink with a Hansgrohe Focus single-lever mixer, complete with a pull-out spray. This allows me to easily reach every corner of the sink, ensuring a thorough clean with minimal effort. While I had the desire to include a dishwasher for added convenience, Ax didn't feel it was necessary since it’s usually just the two of us for meals. Well, I suppose a manual dishwasher—aka him—is more economical in the long run!
  • When it comes to drying dishes, my Simplehuman dish rack is a game-changer. Its sleek, stainless steel design fits perfectly into the modern aesthetic of my kitchen, while its functionality is second to none. It offers ample space for plates, cutlery, and even larger utensils, all without crowding my countertop. The built-in drainage spout ensures water flows directly into the sink, keeping the surface dry and clutter-free. It’s not just a dish rack; it’s a well-thought-out solution for staying organized while maintaining a minimalist look in my kitchen.
  • Ax and I are huge caffeine junkies, and our coffee journey began with the Nespresso Vertuo. It served us well, but recently, we discovered the Morning Machine, and it was love at first brew. Morning curates the best Nespresso-compatible capsules from top specialty roasters worldwide, delivering an unparalleled coffee experience. As we phase out our Nespresso Vertuo, we're already eyeing the next addition to our caffeine arsenal. The Solis Grind & Infuse Perfetta Espresso Machine Black is on our wish list for those slow, luxurious mornings, while the Morning Machine remains our go-to for busy, jam-packed days.
  • Our kitchen wouldn’t be complete without the Wells The One water purifier. This sleek purifier not only complements the aesthetics of our space but also delivers on practicality. It’s compact, saving precious counter space, yet powerful enough to ensure we have access to purified water on demand. The purifier provides a multi-step filtration system, removing harmful contaminants while maintaining essential minerals for health.
  • Its user-friendly interface and adjustable water temperature settings allow us to enjoy everything from chilled water to piping hot, ideal for both drinking and cooking. The sleek design also adds a touch of modernity to the kitchen, combining form with ultimate function.
  • In my kitchen, managing numerous gadgets and their associated cables can be a challenge, but the Eubiq Power Track has been a game-changer for maintaining order. This innovative system offers a range of benefits and features that cater perfectly to my needs. The modular design allows me to customize the track with various outlets and USB ports, ensuring flexibility as I add or rearrange my devices.
  • Its built-in cable management keeps cords organized and out of sight, reducing clutter on my countertops. The sleek, modern aesthetic of the Eubiq Power Track complements my kitchen’s design, adding functionality without sacrificing style. With durable construction and easy installation, it provides a reliable solution for keeping my kitchen neat and tidy, even with multiple gadgets in use. The Google Home is our ultimate kitchen companion, serving as both our source of music and our digital recipe book while we’re busy churning out meals. It effortlessly sets the mood with our favorite tunes, making cooking a more enjoyable experience, and it provides quick access to recipes and cooking tips, ensuring that we have all the information we need at our fingertips. It’s an essential part of our kitchen routine, enhancing both the ambiance and the efficiency of our meal prep.
  • Thank you for joining me on this tour of my kitchen! I hope you enjoyed exploring the space as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you. • Henlo everypawdy! Welcome to one of my favouritest hang-out spots in the house. This is where my mommy creates all sorts of culinary adventures, though the results can be quite varied. But that's okay because this spot is still my absolute favorite—it's where I can sniff out and enjoy many yummy treatos. I simply love hanging out here and soaking up all the delicious smells!
