Cosiest nook for me-time and a book!

It’s little surprise that the cosiest corner in this house is our living room! So you can imagine how excited we were to clothe the pillows and fluff the throws when our living room was done up.
We’re lucky to get beautiful morning light in this corner that is bright but not warm. This really makes the spot ideal for reading! The wide sofa arm also doubles up as a surface for books, an iPad or laptop.
We got a set of these IKEA beanbags from someone on Carousell for a steal! They were in pristine condition, so the covers just needed a good wash, and they were as good as new. It also worked out for us that the default covers came in a neutral brown shade that matched the other taupe accents in our house. If you haven’t already seen these bean bags at IKEA before, they are more comfortable than they look!
This is our view from our comfy corner. And yes — we decided not to get a television, since we honestly don’t watch that much TV. We thought that this allowed us to keep the space more flexible, and gave us the option to highlight art pieces and plants in this corner when the projector isn’t turned on.
