  • Welcome to our entry way, first thing you see when entering. Always wanted to have a night drink by the window, fortunately we are able to make do and create our own indoor balcony.
  • As we did not engage any ID, we used a free online software to do some rendering. Wanted to separate the space with tiles and vinyl flooring, sadly was out of our budget, hence the carpet. Our entire floor is being overlayed. Fish tank will come soon (:
  • This was the before, what attracted us to this unit is really the stretch of windows, perfect for what we had in mind on the balcony. Shelves below the windows are removed, allowing more leg space when sitting.
  • During construction's entryway.
  • After construction entryway. Opted for this dutch glass door as we do a lot of take outs, so this allow us to collect the food with Luna staying indoor. We are also planning to have a cat, so this door was perfect. On top, this is the only door with the widest width. Being in an older resale, means our main door is 3x7 ft. Hence we chose this to maximise the entrance. Left over Moroccan tiles from our bathroom for our little steps.
  • Before this final wood slab, we actually asked a few local suppliers to quote, and most of them quoted 2-3k. Hence we started looking in Taobao and found this factory that sells wooden slab. The owner was very nice, he managed to let us choose the wood we wanted and customise to the size we wanted. The slab is about 50kg, so our contractor very kindly got a strong bracket and installed it for us.
  • Our dog likes to hang around dark area, hence we got her this dog house, perfect size for the empty space below.
  • What's an entryway without a shoe cabinet? We did not opt for any built-in, got this off Taobao too, kind of matches our theme. There is a void space behind the cabinet, hence we use it to hide our luggages. The cabinet top is where we place our keys, reed diffusers and of course our plants.
  • Here's our music corner, where we have our mini speaker and iPad, with the extension cord for all our plugs to charge and do work.
  • Lastly, hanging lights to elevate the space, with our black and white blinds where we use it to cover the HDB sunshading device. Glad it turned out the way it did.
