Entryway...or not?

During renovation, we were contemplating about having an entryway. Having one would mean that we will have to carve out some space for it. As we rather have the space for our kids to move around, we decided to forego the idea.
We have a built-in shoes cabinet along the corridor window for all our shoes. Roller blind is chosen as we knew how tricky is it to deal with the dust issue of a venetian blind. We went for roller blind as it gives us the flexibility to lower it to a height whereby passerby will not be able to peek in and it allows some air ventilation at the same time. A mirror is placed near the doorway so that we can make sure that we are in tip-top form before we head out.
Nearer to our living area, an entryway table is placed here to spruce up the space. We had to choose something slim enough so that it doesn't take up too much walking space.
Apart from sprucing up the space, we also kept the kids' school bags in it so that we can access to it easily and also to keep them out of sight!
