Hi everyone! Today, we will be sharing how we get ready without a dressing table :) During the renovation phase, the Mrs decided against having a dressing table in the bedroom in order to maximise the shared wardrobe space. She also prefers creating spaces that serve multiple purposes where possible. So here we are, with no standalone dressing table and absolutely no regrets :) How then do we get ready, you may wonder? Read on to find out the flow of our daily getting ready/un-ready routines! ✨ For routines related to our faces & hair, we do so in our bathrooms, where we have built upper cabinets to store our getting ready/un-ready items. P.S. As we are both myopic, having an upper cabinet instead of just a mirror hung on the bathroom wall also has an additional benefit — the mirror is closer to us and we can see ourselves more clearly! It really makes a difference because we have experienced otherwise before 🫢 A peek at the products we use 🫣 The items on the lower shelf belong to the Mrs 🙆🏻♀️, while those at the top are shared between us. Here’s the items used by the Mr 🙆🏻♂️ This arrangement is also perfect for us because we realised that we prefer washing our hands in between certain steps 💦 If we had a separate standalone vanity area, it would have been troublesome to head back & forth our dressing table & bathroom! We also included a little nook & hidden electrical point for our hair dryer 💨 Our ID got the carpenter to carve out a small curve so we can still use the hair dryer when the cabinet door is closed :) We are each using one of the shelves in our walk-in wardrobe to house our accessories 💍 This is the Mr’s! 💁🏻♂️ And this is the Mrs’! 💁🏻♀️ The acrylic organiser (gifted by the Mr before we had this home) at the back houses some of the essentials’ refills, as well as empty bottles & containers that we use for our travels 🧳 The rest of the Mrs’ accessories are kept in one of the drawers below :) With our clothes & accessories housed within our walk-in wardrobe, we can easily do a full outfit check using our full-length mirror 🪞 To complete the looks, we choose our bags/shoes/hats/caps at our entryway! We prefer keeping our bags at the entryway rather than the wardrobe because they contact with many outside surfaces, which means they are not exactly the cleanest 🫢 We intentionally saved a space in between the carpentry and fluted panel to include a bench for shoes-wearing purposes 👞 - #entryway

Finally, we use this hidden mirror behind our DB box’s door for a final OOTD check and we’re all ready to head out! 😌
