  • Welcome to our dining room (or what used to be one of our bedrooms)!!! We'll show you what this space used to be, and walk you through our process of deciding to convert our bedroom into our dining room...
  • We went back and forth many times on whether or not to sacrifice one of our bedrooms. On one hand, it doesn't hurt to have the flexibility of another bedroom (for furbabies now and otherbabies in the future), and we heard that hacking a room does hurt the resale value. On the other, we felt that the living area was just a little too cramped if we had to fit both the sofa and dining table in the given space.
  • In the end, we decided to prioritize the here-and-now, and to open up our living space! Pulled the trigger and now the walls are just wires.
  • Opened up :)
  • So anyway, this is our nice open dining area! Our round dining table is one of our favourite pieces of furniture in our house. We love the soft feel that curved edges provide, which could be achieved with arches or curved walls. But in the interest of saving cost on reno, we went with a round table instead! In the same vein, this whole area also has no built-ins so the styling has to do some heavy lifting
  • Coffee days.
  • Lastly, we added this sideboard to bring more life to our dining area as well as for extra storage space. And of course, the mirror does wonders to make the space seem bigger as well!
