  • Welcome to our Study Room! This is the room where we spend a few days each week to work from home! This is the only room in our house which did not have any fixed built-in carpentry. This enables us to keep the layout flexible, and we can change it out anytime in the future. Having had fixed built-in carpentry fixture tables in our previous home, we did not fancy it, as the tables would be at a fixed height. We also didn’t fancy those tables which had cabinet drawers right below them, as it would mean the table height is even lower, and we often find our legs hitting it accidentally. Thus, we had opted for adjustable height study tables from Shopee! We also placed desktop table mats on the table to protect the table and for easy cleaning of the table (especially since Mrs love to eat her lunch at the study table on work from home days)! We also got ergonomic chairs from Ergoseat! We were on the lookout for full mesh ergonomic chairs as we didn’t quite fancy leather/fabric study chairs, which will be quite hot. This chair ticks all our boxes, and it was relatively affordable! These chairs are specifically engineered to promote good posture, reduce the risk of musculoskeletal problems, and enhance overall well-being while seated.
  • To allow for more storage area at the study table area, we got pedestals from IKEA to organise and store frequently used items. We also got wheels (also from IKEA) to add on to the pedestal to make it mobile! This is very helpful especially if you need to move it around for house cleaning occasionally. Also useful if you need to shift locations of the work area in future.
  • To maximise storage space area, we got a drawer cabinet from IKEA as well! We got a closed drawer cabinet, to keep out dust and to keep the area more clean looking! As the Mrs typically hair dries her hair at night while at the study desk (while watching netflix / youtube), we decided to hang the hair dryer beside this cabinet instead of keeping it in the bedroom! To regulate the mood and ambience (especially since working is stressful), we use reed diffuser and scent diffuser to help keep us calm and at peace.
  • This is the other side of our study room area, belonging to Mr which is in the black concept!
  • Instead of the typical blinds which most will install for the study room, we decided to opt for curtains instead, so that we are able to pull it either from the left or right, depending on the sun angle direction. We got it in a shade of blue to complement our light blue walls (continuing the Santorini Theme from the Kitchen), apart from the Mr’s side which is decked out in black!
