  • Welcome in to our new cozy 4 room bto home, 93sqm, located at Punggol North and our renovation is under 35k including electrical! The main theme of our house is dark modern minimalist, for our living room, kitchen, and master bedroom. We are a couple with 2 long-haired cats since Feb 2023 and we address ourselves as Mr and Mrs. Mrs works in the office with typical work hours (works from home occasionally) and Mr is a chef for about 5 years! Starting with our living room, guests are greeted with the dark brown flooring with 6 seater sofa, a large coffee table with ✨ storage and black venetian blinds. This is where we spent the most time chilling and watching movies and drama series as a couple.
  • Here is our BTO 4 Room Floor Plan! We kept the layout original as it is with ✨ no hacking at all as we intend to build a family. As our household shelter was in the center of the home, we couldn't do a full open-concept kitchen. Nonetheless, we retain our space as open as possible providing spaciousness in the home.
  • A close up to our cosy spot on our Castlery 6-seater sofa, snug with our Muji cushion in Charcoal and Beige colour and cuddle under a throw as we watch movies.
  • As pet owners with occasional heavy cooking, air purifier becomes essential product in the home to keep the air fresh and light. Top it (literally) with our google nest mini on adorable black cat stand to announce any visitors and okay music. Any google fans here?
  • Addition to our living room wall is our wall-mounted bicycles! Reason is simple, we wanted to keep the floor space available and dirty bicycles wheels off the floor. Bicycles are from Decathlon and we ride some weekend nights when we are free!
  • Topping it off at our living room is decorations with japanese theme on wall-mounted IKEA shelf that delivers simplicity and black coloured shelf to match our house theme! We added some fake plants from Shopee to enhance its vibes.
  • Followed by our entryway, we kept our entryway clean with no furniture. Our main door is DIY-ed with black wood grain laminate. In the coming times, we will be installing mirror on our db box to check ourselves before we leave the house and the space may look bigger!
  • Our entryway ceiling adds an element of industrial-design lighting. Soft warm lighting to greet us as we enter the house at night.
  • Moving to our dining space that is in the center of our living room - Adding some humourous posters from a famous meme created as a parody with japanese accents. We decided to place them at the dining area because, why not.
  • We can't seem to get over cats but this chonky-looking white cat seems to be the cutest tissue holder ever! Even better, the ears are also a toothpick holder!
  • Enhancing the simplicity with black minimalist downlight that has 3 different light modes - warm, white, and neutral white!
  • Our second most well-used space; our kitchen build-in applicance are all from Bertazzoni from hob, hood and steam oven. Our cookwares are kept hidden in the cabinets to keep the countertop free from items providing a clean, spacious and readily available kitchen!
  • Where there is an area to cook, there will be an area to wash! Our black powder-coated pull-out tap with two modes, and aesop-inspired bottles of our hand soap and dish soap on top of our Bulbul diatomite tray pairing it with Bulbul diatomite holder that could be used in the bathroom too!
  • We have our stainless steel drying rack right on top of our sink where we place our wet dishes to dry and keep the countertop as clutter-free as possible!
  • Continue into the kitchen, we have our service yard with functionality are important to serve the needs when we do laundry. We got this simple white hanger holders just right on top of our washing machine, keeping things off the washing machine top.
  • Adding to its functionality, we had posters again but with laundry guides ✨. Not instructions on how to wash clothes but guides on the laundry labels and stain removals!
  • Down to the rooms and common bathroom, our corridor; our room doors are all laminated with black wood grain and our master bedroom entrance adds a japanese-themed curtain enhance elements in the home.
  • Bringing you to our cozy intimate area; our master bedroom. We kept our bed everything as white as possible as we wanted to keep cool while we sleep! Beside the bed, is a little bedside wardrobe niche conveniently available to place our electronic devices.
  • We need the room to be as cozy as possible. So we opt for a black-out curtain and it is drawn every night before we sleep!
  • The most well-used en-suite bathroom with the same theme of dark minimalist. We established a full wall to wall mirror cabinet, white sink with edl laminate countertop, and white toilet bowl. Absolutely there is some items that need to be kept white for hygiene purposes.
  • Sanitarywares are power-coated black too, and we have installed a shower set to provide both rain shower and handheld combo for a refreshing shower me-time. Additional, we have a tall clear glass to keep the water in the wet area. Thank you so much for staying through and hope you enjoyed this article! Also, you could follow us on instagram @hausofbaos! Stay tune for more!
