Welcome to Teohomies! This is our second home and after having kids, we decided to ditch the dark coloured tone design (that was what we had in our first bto home). We don't really follow any interior design theme here, but we knew we wanted something bright and cheery. 
Our home is a plain white canvas. We requested for all walls to be painted white and the only coloured built-in carpentry is this TV featured wall, which is grey. We wanted our home theme to be white and grey but only after we see the real product, we decided that it's too cold for us. Hence, we warm up our home with more colours like beige and blush. 
As we always wanted to have an open kitchen back in our bto days. So we were thrilled to know that the layout of our current home allows us to hack down the wall to open up the area. And I love how this peninsula island enables interaction between me and my guest when I'm busy in the kitchen. 
Our previous owner sealed up part of this entrance to the balcony and we decided to hack it down to its original state. After hacking, more natural light can stream into our living area, brightening up the area further. Not only that, air ventilation has been improved as well. This is where we will chill and unwind for the day. We added some pop of colours here. Apart from this, our balcony area has been used for our laundry as well. We love how open this area is.
