  • Hello! You can call me Toffee (it's a nickname), and I'm in my mid-twenties working in a corporate company. I have been living in this room for slightly more than three years, so it is quite lived in. However, that does not deter me from putting in effort to spruce up the interior of my room with the things I like. I have quite the fascination for quite a few things - especially k-pop, anime and harry potter, so you can see bits and pieces of them throughout my room.
  • Here is a floor plan of my room, it comes with an attached bathroom.
  • To me, it was also extra important to have a comfy room because Singapore is too hot and I just need a good place to chill in for long periods of time. Come on in!
  • Before you enter, you will see a sign that indicates if I am available for interruptions. As I sometimes work from home, the sign was made so others will not pop in at inopportune times.
  • Here is an overview of my room. I kept it simple as I do not need a lot of items in my day-to-day life. Main furniture items include a bed, closet, and table.
  • I placed my table behind the door to make more space for the beanbag, and I also liked the idea of having a cosy little corner to study/work in.
  • There is a little bench that I can pull out to sit on, as well as a lamp which provides good lighting. I decorated the walls around the table with my current interests as well, but kept them within a wire grid so it looks neat.
  • To the side is where I hang my various bags and umbrella.
  • I decided to align my bed against the far wall to provide more walking space within my room. I also sometimes set up a little table on the bed to do crafts and hobbies or to read a book.
  • My wall is usually decorated with any interests I have at the moment...currently it is Anime, gaming, movies and k-pop.
  • I made a Mirror of Erised for myself as a fun project. It is inspired by the one from the Noble Collection. To keep things looking neat and tidy, I am using a pretty glass container to put small trinkets.
  • I hung an aesthetic clock on the wall so I can see the time easily. It shines quite brightly at night so I sometimes switch off the clock and rely on my bedside clock instead to tell the time. My bedside clock also functions as my alarm clock. Beside my bed, there are essential charger points for electronics such as my phone or kindle.
  • This shelf is for my monitor that I use for gaming. Sometimes I watch Youtube or Netflix on it as well. The rest of the shelf is filled with current hobby items that I have. This includes gaming, crochet, and glass painting.
  • As I migrate between my table and bed a lot, I store items such as drinking water on it so it is easily accessible. This way, I push the trolley to whichever location I am currently occupying in my room. There are also blankets and a stuffed toy for when I use the beanbag for an impromptu nap. The middle area is currently occupied by arts and crafts hobby items as I am in the middle of doing another glass painting.
  • I bought this beanbag to have a resting place so I do not lie in bed all day. It is very comfortable and fluffy. Sometimes I get sleepy and just take a nap on it.
  • I keep a whiteboard next to my table to plan a schedule when needed. It also serves as a reminder since I always walk past it before leaving my room. This ensures that I will not forget anything. I have also decorated the area above the whiteboard with some items of interest.
  • I store my clothes in the top part of the closet and the bottom half is for storage. Foldable clothes go on the left and shirts go on the right. The hanging storage I bought from IKEA really helps to save a lot of space. This way I can free up my drawers for other items.
  • The bottom half of the closet is where I store my foldable table and my extra toiletries.
  • My room has a bathroom with a sliding door to save space. It is also white to blend in with the wall.
  • The toilet itself is quite compact with a sink, shower area, and toilet bowl. I hung some hooks on the walls for towels / clothes to prevent them from piling up on different surfaces.
  • The shower area can be sealed off by closing the sliding glass doors. This limits water from spraying over the rest of the bathroom.
  • There is a mirror to check your reflection and a shelf to store some daily toiletries and accessories. Being surrounded by my hobbies and interests makes me feel like I am in a bubble of happiness. I hope others may feel the love and care I put into creating this lovely space. Thank you for reading and remember to be kinder to yourself! :)
