  • Welcome to our living room where we gather as a family. As the kids grow older, they tend to want to stay in their own rooms and do their stuff. So we would do family activities together in the living room to bond as a family. It could be as simple as watching a family movie on friday nights or where the kids play together or chat to us about their week. This abstract family painting of us was painted by my 8 year old and is displayed proudly in our living room for us to remember that family comes first.
  • Tip on how to make your space look bigger: placing all the in built carpentry on one side of the wall. Our wall has a recess so we used the carpentry to conceal it and push the carpentry out to the same depth. this somehow makes the space look more streamline and less cramped. The wall due to the storage carpentry is also more functional than just a normal wall. We used mainly a white coloured laminate throughout the whole living room to blend it with the walls. Display shelves are of a wooden laminate for contrast.
  • Our living room storage carpentry is home to our extensive DVD collection , board games and bulkier toys.
  • when our Id from Inizio Atelier heard our requirements of an alter, she immediately proposed an arch alter. ID's idea is that the arch alter would be the focal point of our house Initially, i did not want any arches in our house as it was such a hot trend that everyone was doing arches and i was afraid that the trend would fizzle out. i wanted a timeless design as we plan to stay here for a long time. However, after seeing the 3D, it was immediately clear that arches would be in our house. the arches just soften the whole look and made the house look cozy and inviting. we Oked the 3D design and here we are with the real vision of our focal point! We also installed led strip to highlight the arche and this gives the alter somewhat a serene look.
  • Honestly the view was what sold us to get this unit. Looking out to lush greenery is so relaxing and gives us a sense of calm. We opt for invisible grilles for our kids' safety but not obstruct the beautiful views.
  • some ambience lighting to create a relaxing atmsphere as we wind down for the night after the kids are asleep
  • We decided to use curtains instead of blinds though its harder to maintain. Good thing is that we could reuse our old house 's curtains thus saving cost. The curtains give the home a softer look that makes the living room cozier.
  • Some soft furnishings like this fake plant to make a house our home. Behind the plant is our curved fluted panel proposed by our ID to bring some texture into our carpentry.
