  • The one brief we had for our home was to add curves so the whole house would feel soft and cozyyyyy and I’m glad to say that it sure did work! Spot our curved tv “feature wall” and also the curves from our bomb shelter carpentry 👀 we also added more curves via the furnitures we used!
  • To achieve a cozy living room, lighting is super essential! You can achieve this either via natural ways I.e. day and night curtains, where you can decide how much light you’re letting in, or via your lights. You’ll never have too much lights (we have 6 in the living room alone 🫣) - so we recommend playing with a variety of lights to achieve your cozy living space and adding on a cove light as it really sets the mood and allows you to achieve the perfect cozy living room setting!
  • This is how the place looks when we only draw the day curtains. Our day curtains are relatively translucent so it gives a very nice soft look and feel to the room which adds to the coziness for sure!
  • And if you’re one who prefers to have more privacy, fret not! You can still achieve that same cozy look with blackout curtains - just choose earthy neutral colors for example cream, nude, browns and you’re good to go. I personally feel that a ripple fold looks the most cozy but due to space constraints, we unfortunately didn’t manage to go with ripple fold curtains but I guess this works as well too!
  • Just a daytime comparison - you can see how the sun rays enter the living area very gently via the day curtains. Check out the beautiful golden rays on the tv wall 😍
  • Up next - textures! We decided to go with a cream/offwhite bouclé for most of our furniture from our sofa to our little stool to our dining chairs and also our bed frame. The bouclé texture gives off this fuzzy furry look which really adds character to the living room; on top of that, the bouclé texture is quite bouncy and soft too so it’s super well liked by our guests! Additionally, most bouclé furnitures are usually curvy too so it really fits in super perfectly with the look we’re going for.
  • To cozy-up your living room further, always add on some comfy miscellaneous items on your sofa - for us, we chose to add some cushions and also a throw. Firstly, this adds different textures to the living room. Secondly, this provides additional comfort to your guests. And lastly but most importantly, ✨aesthetics✨
  • And lastly, add your special little touch! It could be a floor lamp, a rug, a painting, a plant - for us, we went with an artificial olive tree & a lime washed wall to wrap it all up. And there you have it, our cozy little nook!
