  • Fun fact: Our compact master bedroom is almost as big as all other rooms in the house. This was a trade-off we willingly accepted when purchasing this unit, as all our different requirements for the home were met.
  • Our initial brief to our ID was to integrate a space for our TV within the wardrobes. We thought it would be a great was to break up the 'heaviness' of a full-height wardrobe while accommodating our non-negotiable of having a TV in the room. However, when we saw the first render, we quickly realized it wasn't a design we could live with long-term. The wardrobe didn't provide enough space for the both of us, and the carpentry surrounding the TV just didn't feel right. It was back to the drawing board for us!
  • This second idea resonated much better with us. We decided to split the wardrobe into 2 components: a chest of drawers that doubles up as a TV console in front of the bed, and full-height wardrobes (not pictured) for our clothes. This design felt much more practical, and it even allowed us to integrate a vanity table! We were thrilled with how this option balanced functionality and aesthetics.
  • We opted for 3-door wardrobes and a niche specifically for storing our skincare and hair care products. We made sure to include a double socket, allowing us to use our hair dryer and have an extra outlet to charge our devices.
  • We ultimately chose dark wood over light wood to match the rest of our home, and we couldn’t be happier with the result! We now have 9 drawers, providing more than enough space for clothes that can’t be hung, as well as towels and bedding. The console also offers ample space for our TV and knick-knacks, making it both functional and stylish.
  • Our storage bed is the last piece of our storage puzzle. After 9 months of living here, we thankfully haven’t found the need to use the space under the bed. That’s a win in my book—our wardrobe and chest of drawers have provided ample room for everything. Despite the bedroom’s compact size, we’ve managed to fit all our needs, and it’s given us countless nights of restful sleep. We’re excited to keep refining the style of this space for years to come!
