  • Welcome to our bedroom which we rarely ever show to anyone. It's our sacred space where we wind down and have our rest after a long day. Growing up, I have always enjoyed switching things around in my room. So, it made sense for us to keep everything loose to provide the flexibility to move things around. We have already changed the layout of our room twice and we're pleased with our current layout as it provides more walking space.
  • We kept lightings really minimal and honestly, chose the cheapest options we could find when we were in IKEA. If I had a do-over, I probably would have chosen a ceiling mounted light instead of a pendant one because of the drastic installation costs.
  • As we moved into our home mid renovations, we needed an air purifier to help clean the air we breathe in whilst still living in a dusty environment. We also don't have aircon installed in our home, so we would typically turn on both our ceiling fan and standing fan when we sleep at night as our room gets really hot in the mornings. We hope to eventually have aircon installed by February next year before the annual heat wave hits our area. We have struggled so much with the heat for two years, we don't want to have to go through it again the third time.
  • This glorious monstera used to reside in our living room, but because our cats are plant nibblers, we decided to bring this in to give this plant a better shot at life.
  • We basically moved all of our live plants into our room because of our cats. This shelf also holds our plants that are trying to recover from a pesky pest.
  • Having lived in a home with a closed cabinet and always having to scour through the depths of the cabinet, we decided to try out an open wardrobe instead. It has been so much easier to find our clothes now. But of course, the cons being a magnet for dust and looking cluttered. Our biggest struggle in our home is our clothes organisation because we simply do not like folding our clothes, or anything clothes organisation related for that matter. We do eventually would like to hang all of our clothes.
  • Using IKEA's BOAXEL planner, we were able to fully customise our open wardrobe to fit perfectly with our dimensions. Adding these mesh drawers was a great decision. Ideally, we would have preferred a fully covered drawer like the Elvarli line but it was too expensive.
