  • Welcome back to our dining area! As you can already tell, our dining area and the rest of our home are kept very simple. The 1.8m solid wood table was a great value purchase for us and it comes as a set with 4 matching chairs.
  • As previously mentioned in our "Housewarming" post, we engaged the lovely couple from @thegraffroom to paint this arch. Initially, we opted for wallpaper but decided otherwise due to some considerations. Firstly, wallpapers tend to have a minimum order quantity and if we were to only apply it on this small area, some companies might reject us or charge us for more material than is required due to the MOQ. Secondly, we were afraid that over time, the edges of the wallpaper would start peeling off. Furthermore, there were limited wallpaper designs that we found suitable for our wall. With a mural painting, we could really design something unique to our home and customise it however we like. We opted for mellow tones over bright colours because we wanted it to also blend in with the overall theme of the house. We have had guests comment that looking at this piece brings about a sense of peace and we couldn't agree more!
  • This wooden pendant light can be illuminated in 4 different modes - (from top left to bottom right) Warm White, Natural White, Cool White and Dim Natural White. Depending on the occasion, these modes can help to set the mood differently!
  • The main focus of our design was to keep the feeling of spaciousness intact in our home. To achieve that, instead of the conventional settee made with carpentry, our ID proposed a brilliant idea to build our settee out of cement and rebar. The natural grey of the cement ties in with the overall colour tone of the house and allows it to retain its spaciousness due to the open space below the seat. When the need for extra storage comes in the future, rattan baskets can be used and stowed neatly underneath.
  • One little thing we love on the dining table is this little "Christmas" tree. At first glance, one might mistake it as a regular ornament.
  • However, its real purpose is a trivet! By placing one on the table beforehand, we can simply bring our hot pots or pans over and place them on it. With weight, the trivet opens up effortlessly - functional and aesthetic!
