  • Hello! This week we are focusing on our master bedroom! We wanted the room to be a place where we could unwind and relax, away from distraction and noise. Hence, we tried to keep the room minimal and bare! When we first designed this room, our only requirements were a platform bed and blackout curtains. My husband loves the darkness and really wanted a Blackout curtain. I would say this was a really good investment as we now have better quality of sleep. We wanted to do away with the typical bed and bed frames as we wanted our room to be a little different. Hence, we opted for a platform bed.
  • This is our built-in wardrobe. We chose dark oak wood to match the theme of the house. After the carpentry was up, we realised that we had quite little storage area but thankfully, I was able to keep some of my clothings in the guest room.
  • Getting a king sized bed was one of the BEST decision! We can now have ample rolling and sleeping space without much disturbance!
  • My latest addition is this bedside table from Hipvan!! YAY. I have been searching for the right bedside table for the longest time and so glad to have bought this! I no longer throw my random things on the floor and can now have a neater room!
  • We display our A1 wedding photo in our room and instead of hanging it up, we chose to put it on the floor to mimic an artsy vibes. We also bought Ikea's towel stand as we felt it was quite pretty and functional!
  • This is how our bedroom looks at night. I bought this cute table lamp from shop and it makes the room so much cosier! Beside it is a Muji air freshener which I got from my recent trip to Japan. I spray it before I sleep and it helps put me in a zen mood.
  • We also got our ID to install cove light. We usually just on this light at night and gives off a very romantic mood. Hehe.
  • Occasionally, I will spend my night watching vlogs in bed. That's one of the ways I relax and unwind! Thanks for reading and I hope this inspires you to keep your bedroom minimal yet cosy!
