  • Welcome to our Dining Room! And yes we love our oddly shaped dining table and island! We do not prefer conventional dining table so we have our ID designed an unique dining table. With this design, we did not compromise on our table top space and it allows for more walking space. The curves at both ends were designed to create a gentler touch. It also adds a certain character to the house and provides a cozy space for family and friends to gather. Definitely one of the best features in our house!
  • Haidilao feel as per our friends. Haha
  • We have installed a recessed power track at the side of the island to cater for our BBQ and steamboat needs without running an ugly extension cord from the wall socket. An extension cord around the floor can also be a hazard when you have toddlers running around the house.
  • At the other side of the island, we have three drawers where one of it is a inner pull-out drawer for our cutleries etc. We also kept our toddler stuff like milk powder, bowls and plates over here. A piece of advice to future homeowners: have more drawers instead of cabinets! It is easier to reach out to our stuff instead of having to squad down to get it. However, do think through what you need to put in the drawers before going for a detailed carpentry discussion with your ID or contractor.
  • This is how we organize our pull-out drawer. It always gives us a sense of satisfaction when we pull it out. Haha.
