  • Introducing the most comfortable space in our home - The Master Bedroom. This is easily one of our favourite hangout spot at home. Besides comfort, many fun memories were also created in this cosy space. This built-in multifunctional mirror area is what you see when you first enter our master bedroom. It serves as a 1) unconventional standing vanity 2) mirror for our outfit checks 3) place to put our daily essentials/displays 4) clothes rack to hang our worn clothes that we want to air and rewear We came up with this idea as we wanted to have something visually pleasing yet functional at the bedroom entrance to break away from the plain laminate wardrobe we usually see. If you look into the mirror, you can see that the false ceiling at the entrance leading to our room is lower (to hide aircon trunking and electrical wirings). The extended height of the mirror helps to counterbalance our low ceiling and narrow walkway, visually enhancing its openness. Don't forget to curve those high traffic areas to prevent boo boos.
  • This is the view you see after you walk past the walkway. The highlight of our bedroom is our big bed! One of the best decision is to customise a bed that has ample space to fit our whole family! Perfect for parents like us who still co-sleep with our kid(s).
  • Here's another angle of our room. We combined a queen-size and super single mattress together to form a bigger bed. Our ID was really nice to accommodate to what we want. Instead of a built-in piece, this bed is removable and can be separated into Queen and Super single, respectively. We can move the super single part of the bed to our daughter's room when she is ready to sleep independently. #costsaving Tip: Choose mattresses of the same kind or same height so it looks more seamless and comfortable. Mommy no longer has to sleep at the edge of the bed, and Papa no longer has to sleep on the floor. Yay, to restful sleep for all of us! You can also see our simple full height wardrobe that blends with our half woody feature wall and grey stucco wall. We do not really spend a lot on clothing, so this size is just right for us. Our Bedroom is looking a bit bare at the moment and is still a work in progress. We have been looking for a wall art but have yet to find time to source for one. Meanwhile, this space is usually filled with my daughter's growing plushies collection and Baa Baa Sheepz pillows. (which I filtered out for photo taking hehe)
  • Our bed is fully cushioned. We also made a little barrier at the side to prevent our daughter from accidental falls while sleeping at night. #safetyfirst This big comfy space encourages family bonding before bedtime. We have a lot of fun building blanket forts, camping under the sheets, pillow talks, reading etc. The possibilities are endless.
  • Loving this space-saving side table from Hipvan. The handle on top makes it easy to lift up the table when vacumning/mopping the floor. Our Kepler bedside lamp is a great addition to our room. It has 2 light modes, dim and bright mode, which is great for an ambience night light and reading light.
  • A drawer to put our daily essentials for easy reach.
  • On lazy days, when we find it hard to get out of bed, we make use of our foldable bed table to catch up on some work, movies, and snacks.
  • Our initial plan was to have a lower height bed, but due to some manufacturing error by the carpenters, we ended up with a normal height bed. They offered to change it, but after some thought, we decided to keep it as it is to save us from future backaches with all the excessive bending. PS: Sometimes reno mistakes and errors can turn out for the better. :) Now that the bed is higher, we got this cushioned steps to help our daughter go up and down the bed easily.
  • My 4-legged sister also uses the cushioned steps when she visits. Ending this post with her resting on our comfy bed. This bedroom post is making me miss my bed. *yawn* Catch ya later! Zzzz
