  • Welcome everyone! We are a Singapore PR couple who have finally acquired our own place after 5 years of hard work. We're thrilled to introduce our 4-room resale flat located in the northern region of sunny Singapore. Our initial thought was to style our home with Scandinavian accents; however, it has now evolved into a more freestyle approach, and we absolutely love it! Being both SPRs, we knew the journey to owning our unit would require a significant investment, especially when it came to the downpayment. With that in mind, we set a strict budget of SGD30K for renovations and furniture. Despite the financial challenge, we're thrilled to share that we successfully stayed within our budget. It's a testament to our determination and careful planning. We spent about SGD15K for our renovation and another SGD15K for loose furnitures and all other decorative items.
  • Step into our cozy living room adorned with warm wooden accents, creating a welcoming atmosphere for relaxation and gatherings. From the vinyl floors in Oak to the rattan-wooden TV console, every detail exudes charm and comfort. If you haven't already noticed, our home features a two-tone paint scheme with curved designs to add structure to our otherwise plain walls.
  • Here’s our homely entryway! A mirror is a must, it not only reflects light and opens up the area but also offers a convenient spot for last-minute outfit checks before stepping out. Beside it, a charming rattan wooden shoes cabinet seamlessly combines functionality and aesthetics, providing a chic storage solution for footwear while adding a cozy, natural element to the entry.
  • We hid our bomb shelter with fluted panel wall with magnetic tic tac door, because we just dislike seeing the door handle of our bomb shelter each time entering our home. We have been very glad with this decision.
  • Where fluted panels add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the space.
  • Enter our serene bedroom retreat, where the gentle glow of wooden bedside table and the rattan headboard creates a calming ambiance for restful nights. If you notice, we opt for a lighter wooden colour scheme for our Master Bedroom. Our rattan-wooden bed is a storage bed with LED lighting underneath!
  • With plush bedding and soft lighting, it's the ultimate sanctuary for peaceful slumber.
  • We only did minimal touch ups for our bathrooms because they were well maintained by the previous owner. We keep all the original tiles and installed new bathroom accessories, vanity cabinet, mirror and water closet.
  • Our dining area is a harmonious blend of rustic elegance, with a sturdy wooden dining table in walnut colour as the centerpiece. Surrounded by chic wooden chairs and bathed in 3000k lights, it is the ideal setting for intimate meals and lively conversations.
  • Our original unit comes with an open concept kitchen with the cabinets all well maintained by the previous owner. Hence, we only re-laminated the top cabinet doors as we wanted to change the color from walnut to white, creating a lighter tone and contrast compared to our dining area's darker walnut tone.
  • Last but not least, we hope you enjoy our sharing of our home tour! Do follow us @theunit32 on Instagram for more home updates!
