Welcome to our living room! This is a space designed to be cozy and serene, perfectly reflecting our love for earthy tones and simplicity. Inspired by the wabi-sabi philosophy, we embraced neutral hues, soft textures, and thoughtful details to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Every piece was chosen to balance style and practicality, making this space a perfect space for our family. Let me share some of the highlights that make this room so special! 
Our TV doubles as an art frame! It doesn’t look like a TV at all. It looks like a real-life painting and frame. It’s like having a mini gallery in our home. I can choose any art piece I like to display, and the quality is so lifelike that it blends seamlessly into the room. I love how minimalist it feels and how well it complements the overall theme of the space. 
A defining element of the living room is the curved TV wall, designed to soften the look of the space. The textured finish of the limewash enhances the wabi-sabi theme, creating a subtle yet impactful backdrop for the room. Hidden LED lighting around the feature wall and at the end of our false ceiling sets the mood and ambience, whether we’re winding down after a long day or movie nights. The warm glow adds depth and creates a cozy atmosphere. 
Another favourite of ours is the sofa, which is not only plush and comfortable but also fully retractable. Each sear can be adjusted individually to extend whenever we want, and when not in use, it tucks back neatly. This makes it incredibly space-saving without compromising on comfort. 
We also put a lot of thought into the curtains. To make the room appear taller, we installed them on the ceiling instead of the beam. The day curtains allow natural light to filter through while still providing enough privacy for the space. We initially loved ripple-fold curtains but opted for double pleats due to space constraints. To achieve a ripple-fold look, we asked the seller to high-temperature compress the fabric, resulting in beautifully formed folds. Curtains play an important role to frame the room beautifully and add an extra layer of warmth and softness. 
Another feature we love is the tri-color spotlights. These allow us to adjust the warmth or coolness of the light depending on the mood we want to set. Whether it’s a warm glow for a relaxed evening or cooler lighting to brighten the space, they’re perfect for creating the right ambiance at any time. These spotlights can also be adjusted to any angle, letting us highlight specific areas or create the right lighting for the occasion. 
In keeping with the neutral theme, we chose a dark wood ceiling fan that blends effortlessly with the space. It’s also smart-enabled, so we can turn it on before reaching home or turn it off remotely if we forget. 
The carpet is another thoughtful addition. We customized it to the exact size we wanted from Taobao, ensuring it fits the space perfectly. What I love most is that it’s scratch-proof, perfect for our cat. It is also spill-proof, which means no headaches if drinks are accidentally spilled. 
We chose a TV console with curved edges that I absolutely love. It has no stand, which makes it look grounded and seamless. The dark wood color fits perfectly with the overall theme of the room. Every corner of this living room was designed with so much thought and love, and it feels amazing to see everything come together. From the curve TV wall that holds a personal touch to the little features that make our everyday lives easier, this space has truly become our favorite retreat. It’s where we unwind, share laughs as a family, and make memories that will last for years to come.
