  • I've always believed that every guest or neighbour's first impression of you begins from the entrance of your home. In chinese, it is called 门面. Our entrance is kept fairly simple, with just 2 money plants placed in front of our home for fengshui.
  • Love the Google Nest Doorbell as it functions more like a CCTV for us than a doorbell. It will send us notifications when anyone approaches our home and it also allows us to inform the delivery men to just leave our packages at the door for later retrieval. We also recently customised this plaque with our doggie's face from OhFriday and so far none of the delivery men has rung our door bell during delivery as they will leave the items at the door as per our instructions.
  • We have a rather long but wide entryway and the previous owners put a big mirror next to the door. This was how it looked like when we took over the house.
  • This is how it looks like now when we open the door.
  • We told our ID we wanted to build a tall cabinet along this side of the wall for more storage as we have quite a bit of stuff from the first home as well as many shoes. Back in our first home, the 2 of us shared a small half height cabinet for shoes and the space was insufficient.
  • The entryway can also get quite dark especially during rainy & gloomy days.
  • We got this USB motion sensor LED strip light from Shopee and it works super well in lighting up this space whenever we walk through.

  • We got these stackable plastic drawers from Shopee to maximise our storage space in our tall cabinets. Each drawer is labelled so that it is easier to locate items like medicine, first aid, masks and even medicated plasters.
  • We also bought a few of these hooks which fits nicely on our cabinet doors to hang our everyday items like bags, caps and even our dog leash. We are also a big fan of Aykasa boxes and we have several of them in the house to hold stuff. This one beneath the bench holds our tote bags which is essential now for grocery shopping.
