Our kitchen: Maximising storage and countertop space

Welcome to our kitchen! When designing this space, our top priority was maximizing storage and countertop space.

In fact, one of the main reasons why we chose this house was because of its layout, which allows us to extend the kitchen countertop into our living area.

Featuring one of our favourite Harry Potter household items - the tea towel!

Our galley-style kitchen has both top and bottom cabinets for maximum storage (and minimum dust).
On the right side, we have our "wet area" with the stove and sink, where most of the food prep happens.

To free up as much countertop space as possible in this area, we installed a magnetic knife holder on the backsplash, and a kitchen towel holder that hangs from our top cabinets.

On the other side of our kitchen, that is where we have space for other kitchen appliances.
To bring some visual interest, we added a cabinet door with an arched, fluted design.
