Hi everyone! Welcome back! This time we are exploring our open-concept kitchen. We extended the kitchen counter into the living room so that we can have a snack/coffee bar. Our favourite item here is our water dispenser! We love that it takes up very little counter space and helps us to drink a lot more as it is super convenient to get ice-cold water anytime we want. Our snacks, drinks and mugs are stored in the drawers/cabinet below within easy reach. As this bottom cabinet is pretty deep, we self-installed pull-out drawers so that we can reach items at the back easily. Very easy to stick them on and the sliding mechanism is smooth. This side of the kitchen is where we prepare our meals. We went for an induction stove as it is much easier to maintain. Anyone else hates it when water runs down your arm when you reach up to place the washed dishes to dry? We requested for a pull-down dish rack to solve this problem! Makes doing the dishes slightly more bearable. Opposite the sink is where we place our rice cooker and air fryer. We went with an open shelf instead of top cabinet to display cookbooks and other functional items. We do not have a separate service yard, so we kept things simple with a washer and an automated drying rack. We also got ourselves a mini washing machine to wash our socks and cleaning cloths. We planned to use this cabinet beside the washing machine to store our cleaning supplies, so we got our ID to cater for a power outlet inside to charge our vacuum. We also installed pegboards to organise the vacuum spare parts and other small random items like charging cables. Thanks for reading! We hope this post has inspired you to create a kitchen that truly works for you!
