  • Our home features an open kitchen concept designed to be the heart of family gatherings and social interactions. The seamless integration of the kitchen into the living and dining spaces creates a sense of flow and connection, making it perfect for entertaining or simply enjoying daily life.
  • Our home features a thoughtfully designed open kitchen that brings together functionality, aesthetics, and social interactions. Why is the sink behind the stove? Yes, we know to some, it's a fung shui disaster. It is to optimise space and workflow. By positioning the sink directly behind the stove, we've created a smooth and efficient cooking experience. Washing vegetables or rinsing utensils happens seamlessly, as the sink is within easy reach. Once prep is done, you can move right to cooking without taking extra steps across the kitchen. This layout minimises back-and-forth movements, making multitasking easier.
  • As you can see, the heavy ply wood in our kitchen area are all unvarnished. It was left behind by the previous owners and we decided to keep it this way for its raw, natural aesthetic and durability. The unvarnished finish highlights the organic grains and texture of the wood, giving the space a rustic, authentic feel.
  • Our home's kitchen utensils are chosen for its aesthetics. While I'm (the cook) personally not a huge fan of it, my wife loves how it complements the overall look of our open kitchen. The equipments, though functional, was chosen more for its visual appeal than its convenience. We've got appliances and proper cookware hidden inside the cabinets though 🤣. Wife thinks it's too ugly to leave it out.
  • The star of the kitchen area is our long kitchen island centerpiece. Stretching elegantly across the room with a mirror for self admiration 🤣, this island is more than just functional space for meal preparation, it provides plenty of room for cooking, dining, and even hosting.
