  • One of our favorite rooms in our home is our living room. It’s open, full of natural light, and cozy. It’s definitely where we spend the most time as a family, and it’s also one of my favorite spaces to decorate. I switch it up all the time with new pillows, decor, and throw blankets. When it comes to describing our preferred style for the living room, I would say that we would lean towards a blend of scandi and minimalist aesthetics. I enjoy clean lines, a sense of openness, and a clutter-free space that promotes relaxation and a peaceful ambiance.
  • In terms of furniture, we opt for sleek and streamlined designs. We like to choose pieces with simple yet elegant shapes, without excessive ornamentation. Furnitures made with natural materials like wood, travertine, adds warmth and organic textures to the room!
  • We like to incorporate soft textiles such as cushions, throws, and rugs that add comfort and a touch of coziness. Textures like wool, linen, or cotton provide a tactile element that enhances the overall inviting atmosphere. In honor of Eid, we made some changes to our living room! We freshened up the area by replacing new carpet and cushions.
  • I'm in love with this Loom & Stone Mezza rug! Compared to our previous white rug, it adds just a touch of color.
  • When it comes to accessories and decor, I believe in the power of minimalism. We opt for a few carefully chosen statement pieces that reflect our personality and style, rather than filling the space with countless small items. A piece of art on the wall, a unique sculpture, or a well-placed indoor plant can add character and visual interest to the living room without overwhelming it.
  • We chose to install a built-in shoe cabinet in our entryway. We were very pleased that we made the decision to get one because it has plenty of shoe storage! It was one of the best decision we’ve ever made.
  • I think lighting plays a crucial role in setting the mood, so I prefer a combination of natural and artificial light sources. Large windows allowing plenty of natural light during the day create a bright and airy feel. In the evenings, I like to incorporate ambient lighting with the help of floor lamps, table lamps, or pendant lights, strategically placed to create a warm and cozy atmosphere.
  • In terms of the color palette, we prefer neutral tones such as whites, browns, and soft earthy hues. These colors create a soothing atmosphere and provide a versatile backdrop for adding pops of color through accents and decor.
  • Love the light that comes in every morning!
  • It’s been so fun to decorate this space and figure out what works in here and what doesn’t. I’ve moved things around a zillion times already, but I feel like it’s finally coming together and starting to feel more like us. I just love how cozy and bright it is in here! This is definitely my favorite room in our home.
