  • We both WFH nearly everyday so a generous study room that was open and airy was a serious requirement of our home! We initially had our desks both facing the windows however the glare from the sun was too strong. We reoriented the space to face each other instead. As ours is a corridor unit, our windows are made of a textured glass for privacy.
  • It is segregated from the living space by a small platform But kept visually open through the use of glass. The glass also allows sunlight to flow from the windows towards the kitchen area.
  • T's set up! T goes into the office more often so he has a more mobile set up with an external screen for when he’s home.
  • HY's set up! As you might be able to guess, HY fully works from home. Her set up is a lot more involved so storage was a priority. We also both have standing desks, to keep our bodies moving during the long work days.
  • The cabinet allows us to keep paperwork and other clutter out of sight but still within easy reach. We also opted for a half height cabinet here to create a secondary "counter" space.
  • We use small bits of decor, like artist prints and magnets to add some fun and colour to the space. All the furniture here is also loose so we have the flexibility to change up the layout should we need to in the future.
  • Another thing that helps us add a little ambience to our office and living area is this floor lamp for mood lighting. We also fitted both the ceiling light and the floor lamp with smart bulbs so we can set it to automatically turn on/off based on our schedules.
  • We are showcasing the night view of the office as we also use the space to game! We do both tend to OT quite a bit as well, so an ‘open but closed’ space like this allows us to feel connected to each other despite where we are in the house and when we’re each doing our own thing.
