  • We knew from the beginning of our renovation journey that we wanted our living space to be a flexible space with moveable furniture. We explored a couple of sofa/floor chair options and are very pleased with our bean bags from Ambient Lounge. Clearly our cat loves it too, the 3 of us often have to fight over the 2 big ones!
  • Our current configuration overlooks the park. We really like chilling and getting some sunlight here. Hoping that the trees will grow taller to block the flats in front! We installed insect nets from Mozziefy to prevent bugs from coming in and our cat from jumping out. She is a three-legged cat, so she can’t climb high and this the nets are sufficient for her safety. We also do not leave the windows wide open when we’re not at home, just to be extra safe.
  • Birdwatching and getting some vitamin D!
  • Another configuration! It was a deliberate decision to not have a coffee table in the living room too. I feel like it takes up too much space and is a magnet for clutter. A rug would make the living room cosier, but we don’t want to deal with the fur and dust, so no rugs!
  • This wall is painted white so we can project on it! No television as we seldom watch tv. But having a projector is flexible and fits our lifestyle as we can bring it around the house and not deal with a dusty black mirror on the wall which is rarely used.
  • This is how it looks when the black out curtains are not fully drawn. Not too bad!
  • When the blackout curtains are fully drawn, but with sunlight still streaming through our kitchen windows. Our guests and us are very impressed with the quality of our Halo+ projector! (It’s snowing in this anime scene, it’s not pixelated!)
  • Moveable furniture means we can make space for DIY projects or a couple of yoga mats. A plus point for small apartment living!
  • Cleaning is easy! Low maintenance furniture and space are crucial for us.
