  • Hihi, it's a double post this week!! We're exploring the difference of how our IDs showed our home to be like in their renders and how it looks like after having lived it in for 9 months. This was how our IDs envisioned our living/dining room to be like, with the furniture in place. This helped give us some idea of how much space we could expect to have in between our furniture while we were shopping for what we wanted. It helped us envision if the furniture we wanted was too big and made the place too cramped or if we could go bigger if we wanted to compromise on space a little more.
  • Our living room space has changed A LOT over the past 9 months. From having no tv console and having everything sprawled on the floor, to having a proper tv console that is TOO well decorated with our little knick-knacks and gaming equipment, with our first Christmas tree in this home! We're truly come a long way!!
  • We absolutely love our dining table that has seen us through many dinners and hosted many of our family and friends! And here's to many more!!
  • Our IDs initially suggested for us to have a 1.6m dining table so that we could have more space along the corridor and to make our home look more airy with more breathing space in between furniture. But because we knew we were going to host more often, we compromised our walking space more to keep a 1.8m dining table. We haven't had any major issues with walking space even though we had to compromise on space. The maximum number of people our home has hosted in one sitting is 13! We even had enough space to open up another foldable table to have more space for everyone to have a seat at dine together.
  • And our bedroom render!
  • It looks pretty much like what we wanted except we made it more woody with a wooden bedframe from Castlery.
  • And our very long kitchen that had lots of carpentry and countertop space that I love!!
  • After having lived in for 9 months, we still have quite a healthy amount of carpentry space left for us to continue to build our inventory and grow a family. As for the countertop space, it is truly a luxury that we are extremely blessed to have. It comes in super handy whenever we have a major cookout or have guests over with lots of cooking involved.
  • Our ID gave us the idea to have an integrated sink in our bathroom to give it a more luxurious feel but we decided that it was not quite worth us giving up more money that we needed. It did look great, but we chose to spend that money on our honeymoon instead heh.
  • Our bathrooms have 2 very different themes. The master bathroom is greyish with gunmetal fixtures, while the common bathroom has matte black fixtures. I hope you enjoyed seeing the differences between our renders and how our home looks like now in reality! Till our next post!! :) Happy weekend everyone!
