  • Welcome to our cosy slumberland! Here, we share with you what our bedroom and vanity area (master bedroom and common bedroom combined) look like in our home. P/S: And check out that gorgeous garden view right outside our window! I really enjoy waking up to this view every morning. Probably the perks of staying at a lower floor :)
  • Whenever guests enter our vanity room for the first time, this area is the first thing they will see! And probably the first thing on their mind is - where's the bedroom, and where does the arch curved door leads to? This area is where I usually hang my outfits for the next day and sometimes, mirror #ootd selfies are taken here too! Just wanted to keep it as clutter-free and minimalist as possible.
  • Our ID suggested to cover up this window, but I really liked the idea of having plenty of sunlight in our home, thus I decided to make this into my vanity table space. If you've been to Andaz Hotel at Bugis before, their rooms are designed in a way whereby there is plenty of sunlight in their space. And what really inspired me was their toilets! I got this hanging drop-down LED mirror from Lazada because I wanted to create a luxurious hotel vibe. So far, I'm glad that this space served me really well!
  • Next up is my wardrobe space! It was one of the non-negotiables for my husband and me as he was well-aware of well, ahem, the love I have for shopping and after seeing the piles and piles of clothings I have back at my parents' place... For an overall consistent look, the carpentry done here follows the style of the carpentry done in our kitchen, arch walkway and dry pantry too.
  • Initially, I want a full-on modern farmhouse theme for our place - which explains the barn doors for our toilets. However as we delve into fine-tuning the interior design of our place, it slowly became a mix of everything. But of course, the barn doors do complete the look of our house! If you can't tell already, our home's main colours and elements are wood and neutral shades :)
  • The exciting part comes next! What goes beyond this arch door? Long story for the french arch door, we were looking for a vendor for a long time because most of them don't customise such arch doors in Singapore. Found one finally, and despite the hefty price tag, I'd say this door is worth it! We decided on getting fluted panels for the door as I wanted light in our bedroom, yet we're still able to maintain privacy and minimise noise and light effortlessly.
  • Yes, we've reached the most zen area of our entire home - the bedroom. Designed with a "suspended" curved false ceiling, it gives a very homely, cosy vibe when we turn it on at night! We also got these fluted bedside tables from Taobao to place beside our Rochelle King-sized Boucle bed. :)
  • Our bedroom is our safe oasis, and that is why we kept it "secluded" with its very own uniquely customised french arch door! We don't have any TVs installed in the bedroom as we wanted it purely to be R&R, but subsequently got a projector as we wanted to lie in bed to catch up on our favourite dramas on lazy weekday nights! Thank you for staying with us throughout and taking time to read this :) We hope you enjoyed this little tour around our bedroom + vanity room/ Follow us on IG for more!
