Hello! This is #RUMAHTHEABDULS! Our second home which we recently bought in 2023. We bought a resale 2 bedroom in the heart of Tampines. As you can see from the original layout, we pretty much keep to its original except for the dining space in which we built a partition wall to ensure the cooking smell stays within the kitchen. 
Just like any other home owners, we took matter into our own hands and decided to engage a contractor for our second home. We hacked away the kitche, bathroom and wardrobe carpentry as they were kind of dated. Our laminates are from Lamitak. Our kitchen backsplash we got from Lian Seng Hin. Flooring vinyl were sourced from the contractor contacts. 
First view as you enter our home is our kitchen. We know that we've always wanted a farmhouse sink and this was the first thing we bought for our home. On top of that, we have always loved Bertazzoni vintage oven and that was also the first few items that we purchased. The kitchen hob and hood we also replace from the original to a full set from Bertazzoni. 
We wanted to have the dining space to be in the balcony, we built this glass partition door to separate between the kitchen and living room. In the kitchen, we spent quite a bit on carpentry for storage. From this POV, you can see that we got our contractor to build storages on the empty walls. All those laminates are actually sotages. Just before the living area, our carpenter suggested to build shelving space to display our knick knacks - this was actually a brilliant idea! To break the storage between the walls. This is where we spent most of our days just chilling and binge watching Netflix all day! We wanted a cosy space so we went to source our furnitures from Castlery and Ikea. Our linen curtains are from Curtain Suite. 
This is where good food and great conversations take place with family and friends! Common toilet - We did not change much of the fixtures in the bathrooms except for the mirror and the cabinet. As we have 2 furbabies with us, we wanted to ensure the common toilet is built with electrical point for their automatic pet litter. Common bedroom - Still a work in progress. For now it's our designated laundry area. Here we are at our MBR. We hacked away the old wardrobe to a bigger one. We got the wooden pole clothe rack for our weekly work clothes!

MBR toilet - Just like the common toilet, we did not do much except for the mirrors and cabinets. That's pretty much it for our house warming. Till the next entry!
