  • Our first home DIY! Read on to find out how we cleared the shoe clutter behind the door for less than $13.
  • With a renovation right in front of us, keeping a shoe cupboard outside was not an option yet. Dust and debris were just waiting to settle, and we didn't want that mess inside our home. So, it was time to get creative and find a solution. We started with a shoe tray, hoping it would keep things organized. But, it turned out, we were constantly switching our footwear, and the tray just wasn't cutting it. The result? Chaos behind the door, an unsightly mess that drove us nuts.
  • This is a tidied-up, more organized take on our usual scenario. Thankfully, just a few days back, a quick scroll through Instagram led us to @mini.white.house and their ingenious DIY shoe storage solution. It seemed like the perfect fix to our problem, so we decided to give it a shot.
  • All we needed were extendable rods. We installed the first curtain rod at the desired height and ensured it is securely attached to the wall. We then installed a second curtain rod slightly lower than the first, creating a sturdy base for our shoe storage. We then repeated this process to create as many "shelves" as we needed for our collection of shoes.
  • And there you have it! With a little creativity and a few extendable rods, our once cluttered space is now clutter-free. No more tripping over shoes, no more unsightly mess behind the door. Thanks to this simple and cost-effective DIY solution, we can now enjoy a clean and organized entryway. So, if you're facing a similar shoe storage challenge, give this DIY idea a try!
