  • We have moved into our new home for about 10 months now, and have made some changes to the aesthetics since then, can you spot the differences? :)
  • When we first moved in 10 months ago, we actually did not have any carpet and coffee table yet (can refer to our very first post). This was the state of our living room about 5 months later.
  • 4 months later... We finally found an art piece to hang above our sofa so the living space does not look as bare. As our home theme comprises mainly neutral colours and different wood textures, this art piece made up of tiny wood pieces stacked together fits perfectly into the theme. We also decided to change our carpet from jute to polyster microfibre material. While the brown jute rug would have suited our japandi theme better, it was not as comfortable to lounge in to be honest. We are glad to find this new carpet from Objet which is pretty soft, comfy and we love how the colour blends in nicely with our living room floor tiles.
  • [After] We got a little bored with the previous faux plants decor and so have replaced them with more bushy plants to switch things up. One way you can consider to refresh your living room is to place types different plants according to the season.
  • We also try to bring back some home decor pieces whenever we travel overseas, and recently we got an art print from Busan now placed on our tv console!
  • Just a close up of this cute ming fern :) Hope you enjoyed reading this short post on how we have transformed our living room in little ways over the past months, and stay tuned for more changes in future! :)
