  • Hello from @choishouse! Hope everyone is having a good week so far. It is WEDNESDAY and we're halfway to the weekend. We're exploring our entryway this week and we're excited to show you more :) This space gets the sunset rays that seep into our house and I absolutely love coming home to the gorgeous orange hues after a long day at work!!
  • Our entryway has seen one of the most changes in our home. We started by wanting to keep this space very minimal and sourced for a long time to get this shoe cabinet. It was just an empty space for a good one month of us moving in and our shoes were just left sprawled on the floor. Our primary goal was to find one of a similar walnut wood tone with our dining table that would not make our place look smaller, and we're so glad that we managed to find one on Taobao instead of adding on more carpentry that would be bulkier and costly. This was an old photo of this space. What we really love about this shoe cabinet is that it allows us to grow into this space and have a collection of things over time. The top of the shoe cabinet is where our wedding reception table decoration items naturally found its home here.
  • And this is what our entryway space looks like today!!
  • The photo on the wall was taken by B during our honeymoon in our favourite city in Norway. I decided to frame it up to remind us that there is so much more of the world for us to go out and explore. This shoe cabinet allows for our favourite shoes to be kept at the bottom for easy access without having to open the cabinet doors, and the shoes in the cabinets still have some ventilation to it.
  • Inside our shoe cabinet is a "his" and "hers" section. My husband has more shoes than I do, so he took the bigger portion of the shoe cabinet. The racks are also self-assembled so we could decide the height for the different types of shoes that we have such as my heels or boots. It also comes with a drawer so that our socks have a home.
  • These 2 Japanese decorative figurines were a wedding gift from a dear childhood friend and the others are collectibles from our most recent holiday to China. (Side note: China was such a lovely place to visit!! A lot of their drinks came with a reward system and we were enticed by their rubber duckies and teapots because they are miniature sized and extremely cute. With each drink, you get one collectible, and they can be accumulated to exchange for a medium and a large rubber ducky.)
  • This mirror was a DIY wedding project and we kept it here so that we can check our hair one last time before we head out of the door hehe. We also keep our keys here for easy access and a random stash of coins *oops*. Hope you're enjoying snippets of our home so far! Let us know which is your favourite part of our home. Till next week when we chat again!! Have a lovely weekend ahead :) Byeee
