  • Hi there, thanks for clicking in! We will be sharing some of our before & after reno pics today in this post ๐Ÿ˜Š As our unit was obtained via SBF, the previous owners had already chosen to opt out of OCS. Hence, we were able to start on a blank slate. We dreamed of a home that was both functional and stylishโ€” a place weโ€™d love to come back to every day. Our renovation journey was largely smooth. Along the way, we discovered a few tips that might help anyone else tackling a renovation:
  • (Before & After: Living Room) 1. Prioritize Functionality For areas we use often, like the kitchen and living room, we only built in items that we deemed necessary. The materials & layouts chosen were also of easier maintenance (e.g. smooth laminates & sintered stone countertops for easier cleanup).
  • (Before & After: Kitchen) 2. Invest in Quality Storage Solutions All our carpentry are installed with blum hinges. Minimal open shelves and more cabinetry were our go-tos for maximizing space without clutter.
  • (Before & After: Walkway) 3. Keep Your Style Cohesive Sticking with a consistent color palette and theme helped make each space feel connected to the next, which has been great for maintaining a calm, harmonious vibe.
  • (Before & After: Master Bedroom) Our main priorities for our reno were to create more storage, open up common areas for a better flow, and introduce a cohesive design throughout the house.
  • (Before & After: Master Toilet) If we could go back, we might consider exploring smart home solutions for convenience. Little changes like these could save a lot of hassle down the road. However, with the current advancement in tech, itโ€™s easy should we wish to implement this in future. Thanks for reading till the end! :)
