  • Hey there from Loafy Haus! Today we will share about our common bathroom journey. At first, we were all about saving some money, so we planned to skip renovating the common bathroom and just keep the original tiles and fittings from the HDB. But after a few visits to the house, we realized the bathroom’s location made it feel pretty dark, and the grey tiles were making the space look a bit too grimy for our liking. So, we decided to go ahead and give it a makeover after all!
  • Consideration 1: One thing we realized is that our shower outlet directly faces the vanity and sink area. Without a divider, water from the shower would splash all over the sink and vanity cupboard, making everything wet and messy. So, separating the wet and dry areas definitely helps keep things a lot tidier. Consideration 2: On the flip side, we're not big fans of glass dividers. Plus, the space is pretty tight, and we’ve got this constant fear of bumping into the glass—especially when giving our doggo a bath. It's a little too easy to knock into things in a small space! Conclusion: After a site visit to our ID's current project which looked amazing, we got inspired and decided to do a solid wall divider with niche opening too! The only downside that it makes the space looks smaller of course.
  • After the tiles are up, we decided to switch up the vanity cupboard laminate to have a cleaner look!
  • and it was perfect - to us! We’re absolutely loving the mix of glossy and matte tiles from Hup Kiong for the backsplash. Giving it some extra depth. And we’re so happy the sink color blends perfectly with the overall look. It’s all coming together just the way we imagined!
