  • G & I are extreme homebodies and prefer spending time at home over the weekends than to hit the malls. This means we're spending most of our time either lounging, gaming, working or cooking. So after living in our home for almost half a year, G & I have concluded our top few most worthy investments!
  • First up is our green manual recliner sofa! We love fluffy & soft sofa that allows us to sink in and yet provide sufficient neck & back support (cos I've lots of back & neck problem :/). We could even customise the firmness of each section from neck, back to seat support! The recliner function are on both ends of the sofa so G & I won't ever have to fight over who gets to stretch their legs and lean back hehe. This is also the area where we go to whenever we've been out but want to lie down because we both have a strict policy where we can only be on the bed after bath.
  • Next worthy investment would be our Bosch Dishwasher! 100/10 would recommend a Dishwasher even if you're someone who cooks once every 2-3 days.
  • We made the decision to purchase a Dishwasher way before renovation so we made sure most of the cutleries, kitchen utensils, pots & pans we've purchased are all Dishwasher safe. This is VERY IMPORTANT else you'll still spend most of your time handwashing most part of the dishes! The only thing we've no choice but to handwash are chopping board, knives and selected pots & pans. The rest goes into the Dishwasher and it runs on a daily basis. Most people are under the wrong impression that Dishwasher takes up a lot of water & electricity, but that is NOT TRUE if you use the "ECO" function. We've tried and tested this the hard way because our 1st month's bill skyrocketed as we used the non-ECO function on a daily basis. After some research and switching to ECO function, our bills reduced significantly and monthly bills are comparable to couples who do not own Dishwasher. This is definitely a 100% worthy investment for both G & I who have eczema and tend to be triggered by dishwashing liquid, and yes, even for brands who claim that theirs are gentler or suitable for sensitive skin :/
  • Our 3rd worth investment have got to be our trusty wet & dry robot vacuum. We call him "Rocky"! G & I are people who love to lie down / sit on our floor, so we've really high standards for floor cleanliness :/ Moving into a BTO also meant that dust accumulates VERY quickly due to surrounding renovation works, so being able to outsource 90% of the daily cleaning to Rocky also meant more lounge time for both of us after work! All robot vacuum have maintenance work but we made sure to choose one with below conditions to reduce the frequency: 1) Large water tank capacity for clean & dirty water 2) Self-cleaning function 3) Hot air drying for mop To us, being able to lounge on most days without doing any single household chore is a WIN!
  • Last worth investment is yet another cleaning tool, our Handheld Dry & Wet vacuum! Some may find that we're very excessive in terms of our investments on cleaning tools, but this just shows how serious we are in having CLEAN floors HAHAHA This functions the same as Rocky except it's manual and handheld! Below are some of its key functions: 1) Self-cleaning function 2) Hot air drying for mop 3) Separate attachments for Dry+Wet, Dry and other smaller area vacuuming (e.g. bed, blinds) We mostly use this for our Kitchen area, or when there are ad hoc spills / dirt in specific locations such that we don't need to deploy Rocky to clean.
