  • Hey again! 👋🏻 You've made it just in time for dinner! Let's get you settled down and bring you on quick tour of our dining area where majority of secondhand beauties are at! Ahh, you've notice we placed our dining table overlooking our kitchen area? This is because we wanted easy access to extra table space and makes it convenient for us to have conversations while multi-tasking in the kitchen. And have we talked about our dining set? Well, this lovely piece originally came in rich blue tiles and matching chairs, we painted and hacked out the old tiles to reflect similar colours in our kitchen. It has now become the centre piece of our house where we gather and have cosy dinners with friends and family. Just pop some extra stools and we're good to go!
  • Looking up, we have our dining pendant lights. Fun fact: we built this pendant light ourselves using 2 different shops! We got the emerald green lampshades from a vintage store called "treasure_at_home" and pieced them together into this pendant light using elements from Taobao
  • Hmm the electrical bar and wires? Glad you asked, we got these from Taobao together with the white lampshade and DIY-ed this on our own, it saved us a lot on electrical installation and now we have a piece of history in our space. We fixed up some filament bulbs which gives off a soft "cafe" like glow which really pulls the whole look together.
  • The final piece of our dining area is our essential coffee station. This small but mighty trolley from IKEA has been spruced up with little painted details and holds our coffee machine and microwave so that we save countertop space in our kitchen area. We also got our vintage standing lamp from "objects.re" and it fits perfectly in that corner, and helps illuminate that dark spot.
  • Ready for your order? No just kidding, we won't charge you a cent. This thrifted chalkboard serves as a fun way to personalise the coffee station and adds onto the whole Cafe aesthetic we have going on.
  • Hungry? Great, let's tuck into our dinner! Today's menu is tonkatsu with miso soup, we love cooking our meals and having them on our customised dining table (while actively trying not to spill sauce in between the tiles 😅) Enjoy your meal! And we hope to see you for our next post. ~ Nay & ZQ
