Crafted from natural diatomaceous earth, the Keisoudo no Tokei is brought to life using Saman, a time-honored traditional Japanese plastering technique. The design is intentionally minimalist to highlight the unique tactile characteristics of the earth, which yields an unexpected, comforting warmth to the touch. With its organic texture, this versatile timepiece effortlessly complements natural-material interiors—harmonizing beautifully with a traditional Japanese Wa (zen) aesthetic of wood and plaster, while acting as a grounding, textural accent in sleek modern spaces.

As a subtle nod to its organic composition, the clock face features the logo SiO₂, the chemical symbol for silica—the primary mineral element of diatomaceous earth.
