Often, we are guilty of overlooking tiny clutter that eventually pile up and make one huge mess later on. Take a look around your space and see if you have a disorganized pantry, magazines lying around, old sentimental items you can’t seem to let go, cramped wardrobe, or stacks of storage boxes just placed at random corners. If you see these in your place, then you certainly need to organize your house ASAP!
If you are convinced that living in a messy household is normal, think again. Waking up to a chaotic home can lead to unnecessary stress. Stress causes many health related diseases and surely, you would not want to end up catching one just because you refuse to keep your house orderly.
Tip: Schedule a cleanup day every weekend to make sure that you have the time to organize your place. Remember, a house that is messy reflects a stressed mind.

Sleep is an important aspect of our health and must always be a priority.

3. Messy electrical wirings can burn your house
Electricals are among the hazardous fixtures present in any home. Tangled wirings and damaged cords can lead to short circuits and fires. Be responsible and always check your electricals. Make sure they are clipped properly so that they don’t end up tangling, thereby causing breakage in the brittle wires. You might find it helpful to tape wires on the floor or walls to properly secure them. This way, there will no longer be scattered wirings to trip people and make your home appear messy and unkept.
4. Towels can breed germs
Towels are our best friends whenever we shower. In truth, we can never take a bath without them. However, how often do you replace your towels? Unknowingly, towels breed germs because they accumulate and retain moisture for a long period of time, thereby allowing bacteria to survive. Although towels were meant to keep us clean, they also have the power to harm us. It is best to change your towels often to prevent the formation of unwanted microorganisms.
Be mindful that this also happens to the hand towels present in your kitchen. Change them regularly to prevent the spread of bacteria in your food and kitchen utensils. This will also prevent contamination.
5. Bed bugs could be real
Because sometimes we are all dead tired from the exhausting week that has gone by, we forget the important task of changing the bedding sheets regularly. Without us seeing it, the pillow cases, blankets, and sheets in our beds become breeding grounds for dust mites and bugs. This is because our bodies create warmth and humidity – the perfect combination to nest such microorganisms. Presence of such organisms can cause allergies and even asthma. Don’t be lazy to change your sheets. After all, would you really want to sleep with bed bugs tonight?
6. Dusty fans and vents can cause allergies
Because of the hot weather, you cannot live without your ever reliable air con and fan. However, sometimes as we forget to regularly clean them due to busy schedules. With this, the blades and covers of the fan accumulate dust and once used will only spread the dirt more. Sneeze festival is bound to happen!
Avoid this situation and regularly wipe your vents and fans to prevent the formation of dust, an allergen that causes people to sneeze and get colds.
